I love living in such a busy city as London, it has been my dream since growing up in a small countryside town near Venice, however every once in a while I crave solitude, being surrounded by nature and some peace and quiet. A few hours in Richmond Park or Hampstead Heath is not always enough.
Last year, I started to explore a bit more of the beautiful English countryside with a day trip to Castle Combe and this is something I wanted to do more of this year. So I waited till March to organise a long weekend at the Lake District, a place I heard so much about, but never managed to visit.
