More than a month with no posts, where has the time gone? After recently visiting Greenwich with the team of visit London, I decided to share my favourite things to do in this area.
Greenwich is a beautiful neighbourhood and has so much to offer to visitors, however it is not always the most obvious choice for a day out for both Londoners and tourists.
Visit Cutty Sark
Walk inside the world's sole surviving tea clipper and discover its secrets.
Visit Old Royal Naval College
"The most popular filming location in the world" according to the Empire magazine. Scenes from Four Weddings and a Funeral, The Dark Knight rises and many others were filmed here and walking around these glorious buildings, it certainly feels like you are on a movie set.
Visit the Queen's House
Take a walk in Greenwich Park
One of London's eight Royal Parks- from the Royal Observatory (which is the home for the Greenwich Mean time) you can enjoy an amazing view of London.
Take the Thames Clippers from Greenwich to North Greenwich
Eat at at Farmopolis
Part of the Greenwich Peninsula, Farmopolis is a green space which has rehomed tens of thousands of trees and flowers from the RHS Chelsea Flower show. A space for food, culture and art.
Ride on the Emirates Air Line cable car
I would recommend getting the cable car at sunset.
